How it started

How it started

In 2012, Custer native-Steve Witt and his wife, Michele decided to expand from the world of trades to the restaurant world. Having their family involved in all aspects of their new endeavor was very important. For this to work, it had to be all hands on deck.
Passing the torch

Passing the torch

Mentored by his father over years of shared shifts and hard work, the son, Greg and his wife, Aleah, eventually the took the reins themselves. The name stayed the same, the commitment to quality stayed the same and they continued to build the business with integrity and passion well before they officially took over.

Our Mill Favorites are bold by design — the Gyro Pizza with tzatziki, the Pickle Pizza that converts skeptics, the Hearty Logger -All Meat loaded to stave your hunger, and a gluten-free crust guests call one of the best they've ever had. We’ve worked hard to create our version of many popular favorites that leave you dreaming of your next trip to the Pizza Mill.

What comes next?

What comes next?

Owners Greg and Aleah hope to instill the love for the Pizza Mill in their three young sons. Teaching them the importance of work ethic, dedication, and integrity while they learn the ropes of the day-to day operations makes the hustle of the restaurant world worth it. Every person who walks through their door, from their ever-loved locals to their new travelers- turned friends, are the reason they do what they do! “We are so grateful for each of our customers. Our community has supported us for- going on 15 years and for that we will be forever grateful. Being one of the longest running pizza restaurants in a small, seasonal town is no easy feat, but we have had so much support and learned so much over the years. We are truly grateful to call Custer home, raise our boys here and have the support of this awesome community.” -Aleah
